FLUORESCENT PAINTS
Fluorescent acrylic enamel is a paint that makes use of the light reflecting fluorescence phenomenon. These enamels can be used indoors and outdoors on decorations and surfaces of metal, glass, aluminium, stone, concrete, most plastics as well as dry, fresh and artificial flowers in floristry. They are also used for painting warning signs and all kinds of inscriptions, and marking hazardous areas in surveying, construction and during forest works. The fluorescent acrylic enamels have a short drying time, very good covering properties of the surfaces to be painted and are abrasion resistant. The enamel’s colour is identified by the can lid. The enamel has been manufactured in accordance with EU standards and complies with the new requirements for VOC.
Procedures for use: sand, degrease or prime the surface to be painted. Shake the can for 5 min. Test spray. Spray with thin layers several times from a distance of about 25-30 cm. Between layers there should be a few minute interval, but not longer than 30 minutes. Clean the nozzles after finishing. Turn the container upside down and press the nozzle for about 3 seconds. The intensity of colour depends on the use of a white primer. All fluorescent enamels have a limited resistance to UV light and weather conditions. Coating with a transparent lacquer to improve resistance to atmospheric conditions is recommended.
